江戸切子とは、ガラスをカットして作る伝統工芸品、一般的に江戸切子は回転する細い刃で直線的にガラスを削り細長い模様になるが、平切子で使う砥石は側面全体が刃になっているので平面で研ぐ。
ここで作っている江戸切子は、線で描く江戸切子ではなく、面を作る平切子を作っている工場。
サクラサク1万1000円(税抜き)平面で研いである江戸切子は、お水を入れると更に模様が変わる上から見ると切子が鮮明になり桜が広がる。まさに桜が咲く感じになる。
光の入り方屈折率が変化し桜?模様がコップ全体な広がる。

A long-established glass factory that has continued for more than 60 years for three generations
Edo kiriko is a traditional craft made by cutting glass. Generally, Edo kiriko cuts glass linearly with a thin rotating blade to form an elongated pattern, but the whetstone used for flat kiriko has a blade on the entire side surface. Because it is, sharpen it on a flat surface.
The Edo kiriko made here is not a line-drawn Edo kiriko, but a factory that makes flat kiriko that makes faces.
Sakurasaku 11,000 yen (excluding tax) Edo Kiriko, which is sharpened on a flat surface, changes its pattern further when water is added. When viewed from above, the Kiriko becomes clearer and the cherry blossoms spread. It feels like cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

ガラス加工体験は要予約ですが、店頭のガラス製品はお店が開いてれば購入可能です。

街並みもオシャレなので散策するのも良いですよ。
