森	森昭二 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 幕末の任侠・吉良の仁吉の墓のあるお寺です。初めて見たときに、清水一学の墓とは比べ物にならないその大きさに驚きました。墓を建てたのは清水の次郎長だそうですが、恋女房をも離縁して荒神山の喧嘩に臨み討ち死にした仁吉に対する次郎長の想いを感じます。こういう義理人情に厚いところが次郎長をして「海道一の大親分」と言わしめた理由かもしれませんね。本堂の一角は仁吉の展示室になっていて、仁吉ゆかりの品々が展示されています。見学料は100円です。ここには仁吉の位牌も安置されています。本堂には『吉良の任侠』という冊子がありました。こちらの住職が仁吉について書かれたもののようですが何気なく中を見ると、小説風ではありますが、史実に即した仁吉のことが書かれているように感じられたので購入して読んでみようと思います。私の悪い癖で、こういう「ここでしか買えない」というものを見ると、ついつい購入してしまいます（笑）本堂前の「義理と人情」と書かれた巨大な石碑が目を惹きます。石碑の裏面には「これほどわが吉良の荘にぴったりの言葉はない」と刻まれていますが、まさにその通りだと思います。平成の大合併で旧吉良町は無くなりましたが、「義理と人情」はいつまでも吉良の人々の心に生き続けていくことでしょう！ It is a temple with the tomb of Nikichi of Kira, a priest at the end of the Edo period.
