★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 在来種の希少植物が生育する貴重な場所であったのに、地元民はその環境を改変して世界中の様々な種類の桜の木を植え「世界の桜の園」を作ろうとしている。これが如何に愚行であるか、彼らはまったくわかっていない。目を輝かせながら夢を語る姿を見て、本当の価値が何であるかを説く気も起きなかった。地元民に悪意はない。村おこし的な情熱を持って活動しているのだろう。しかし希少植物に対する無知さ加減は呆れ返るほどだ。遠く関東からでも足を運ぶ価値がある場所であったのに、どこにでもある、どうでもよい場所に成り下がろうとしている。本当に残念だ。
