岩美町塩谷の国道9号線を蒲生トンネルにかかる手前を右折し県道31号線に入ると「山ノ神広場」が右手に見えます。蒲生川に掛かる白い橋を渡ると田園が広がり、遠くに河合谷高原の山並みが見えています。「山ノ神広場」はすぐ近くは緑豊かな山々と蒲生川の水のせせらぎが聞こえてくる寛ぎの広場です。入口付近にジャングルジムが球体になった遊具が子供達を遊びにおいでと誘っています。誘われて広場へ入りました。近くで草刈り機の音がしています。その方向に目をやるとその人もこちらを見ています。ペコリと頭を下げました。広場は十分な広さで向こう側にはブランコ、滑り台があります。夏には納涼祭や盆踊りが楽しめそうです。「山ノ神広場」は草が刈られて心地よく整美されています。これから梅雨に入り梅雨明けの頃にもう一度草刈りが必要になるかもしれません。そして夏を迎えます。
