★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 縄手通りのシンボルのカエル像です。強烈なインパクトがありました。2005年に東京芸大の学生さんが作成したものだそうで、一度見たら忘れられません。
後ろには女鳥羽川が流れていて、綺麗な川の象徴のカジカ蛙の鳴き声がかつては聞こえていたのですが今では上流でしか見られなくなってしまいました。
昭和47年にかえる大明神を祀り再び又水清く、活気のある通りにカエようと「かえるの街」としての取り組みをしているとの事です。
It is a frog statue that is a symbol of Nawate-dori. There was a strong impact. It was created by a student at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2005, and once you see it, you will never forget it.
The Metoba River flows behind, and I used to hear the sculpin frog, which is a symbol of a beautiful river, but now I can only see it upstream.
It is said that it is working as a "city of frogs" to worship the Daimyojin who will change in 1972 and to make the water clean again and to frog on a lively street.

厳。塗装が剥げやすいのか劣化が目立つのでこのまま行くと桃太郎神社や秘宝館にあるものと同じ風合いになりそうです。早めのメンテナンスをお願いします。
Good. I'm sticking one foot into the surrealistic area of color and painting, but I personally want to support it because it has a nebuta-like composition.
Strict. The paint is easy to peel off or the deterioration is noticeable, so if you keep going as it is, it will have the same texture as the one at Momotaro Shrine or Hihokan. Please perform early maintenance.
