★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 悲しいことにコロナ禍でこの道路沿いにあった「伊豆のうさぎ」さんが閉店しており、代わりになるような和菓子屋さんを探している時に高齢の母が立ち寄るよう言ったのが、こちら。
梅家は老舗で、「ホールイン」という伊東を代表する銘菓はある世代以上には有名らしいです。見た目はゴルフボールのように丸っこいんですが、味わいは岩手の「かもめの玉子」に似ていて、中はほっくりしっとり、美味しいお菓子。
伊豆高原店のショーケースには「ホールイン」は2個入りから10数個入りの大箱まで並んでいますが、店員さんに言えばバラ売りも出してもらえます。
ひとつネックなのは、おみやげを入れて持ち帰る紙袋が30円と有料なこと。ウチはあきらめましたが。
老舗のはずなのに、公式ホームページらしきものが全く見当たらないのも残念に感じた次第です。もうちょっと洗練された売り場にするとか、PRを工夫するとかできることはあるように思えました(辛口でごめんなさい)。

In the showcase of the Izu-Kogen store, "Hall-in" is lined up from 2 pieces to a large box of 10 or more pieces, but if you ask the clerk, you can sell it separately.
One bottleneck is that there is a charge of 30 yen for a paper bag to put in souvenirs and take home. I gave up.
It should be a long-established store, but I was disappointed that I couldn't find anything that looked like an official website. It seemed that there was something I could do, such as making the sales floor a little more sophisticated or devising PR (sorry for being dry).
