二村神社は
伊弉諾尊(イザナギ)と
伊弉冉尊(イザナミ)を祀り
味間奥にある古刹文保寺の境内と
古市・真南条などに鎮座している
もとは古市の式内社二尊神社（二村）であったものが室町時代の宮座争いによって分裂したと伝えられる
真南条にある二村神社の創立は元亀年間（1570～73）といい、以下のような話が伝わっている
文明十四年(1482)
古市集落に祀られていた式内二尊神社
(現二村神社)において宮座争いや御神像争いが起こり味間が神輿、西吹が馬具、矢代新田が椀箱を持ち帰り御神体として、それぞれの集落において祭事が行われるようになったそうです
