★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 横河家の邸宅があったところで、市に公園として寄付されました。旧邸宅の赤いレンガに囲まれて、映画や小説に出てきそうな秘密の花園を思わせる静かな公園です。
Where the Yokogawa family's mansion was, it was donated to the city as a park. Surrounded by the red bricks of the old mansion, it is a quiet park reminiscent of a secret garden that seems to appear in movies and novels.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Google Map に導かれて、町中の普通の公園かと思って来てみたら、レンガ塀に囲まれた品のある庭園跡みたいな場所でした。立派な松やら桜が植わっていて、入り口正面に公園名の石碑が有り、その裏に公園の由縁が書いてありました。この公園は横河家から明石市に1987年に寄付されたものだそうです。更に石碑の裏には横河家の足跡が埋め込んで有り、錆びて読めなかったところもありますが、14世紀から連綿と続いてきた家柄とのことです。
Guided by Google Maps, I thought it was an ordinary park in the town, and it was like a garden ruin surrounded by brick walls. There were splendid pine trees and cherry blossoms planted, and there was a stone monument with the name of the park in front of the entrance, and the reason for the park was written on the back. This park is said to have been donated by the Yokogawa family to Akashi City in 1987. Furthermore, the footprints of the Yokogawa family are embedded in the back of the stone monument, and although there are places where it was rusty and unreadable, it is said that the family has continued since the 14th century.
