It is a house ruin in the Himiko era. Although it is not as large as a country like Yoshinogari ruins, it has been developed into a ruin that clearly understands the points of high-altitude dwellings during the war, such as sections by guo, moats, earthen walls, and cemeteries. It is also an interesting site where you can see the end of the war period, such as when you find the Yayoi period cemetery from the bottom when there is no old residence when the Furutsu Hachimanzan burial mound, which is considered to be the first half of the Kofun period, was built.

I visited Niigata Prefecture because I knew that there was an old burial mound, and I suddenly wanted to see it. To be honest, I was expecting a shobo, but the attached Buddhist Cultural Property Museum was also quite spectacular, and the park and turf centered around the tumulus were beautifully maintained, and it was a very pleasant space. Although it is a little mountain climbing, it is a nice view overlooking the Echigo Plain.

I could see Mt. Kakuda and Mt. Yahiko, and it was very spacious, so it was a good place to spend a relaxing time. I used to live here more than a thousand years ago, and I was wondering if people at that time could see Kakudayama.

The Furutsu Hachimanzan Tomb is the largest burial mound in Niigata Prefecture. It is a bowl of 60m in diameter. It is well maintained. It is also unusual for the prefecture's largest burial mound to be an envy. I feel the uniqueness of the Hokuriku region.

I did not even know the existence because I did not have in the past, but there are large encircles and restored pit dwellings, etc. It is a wonderful ruin. As we think that there are few in the prefecture. You can go from the back of the Kiryu Hill Exhibition Hall, but you can also go from the other. When the exhibition hall is open, it seems that you can enter a residence.

I often visit the Prefectural Botanical Garden and Niigata Flower Land, but the ruins on the immediate side are the first to visit. The first impression was that I felt like living on a hill like a mountain castle during the Warring States period. Certainly, it is said that this era was due to the war in the Civil War of Wa, but it would have been inconvenient and extremely inconvenient in peacetime. Since there is an old burial mound beside it, the people who lived here were the clan and servants of the powerful tribes who ruled around here, and the general public may have lived on the flat ground. Well, it's just an imagination ?. However, the view from here was wonderful, and I could see the buildings such as museums and Mt. Yahiko and Mt. Kakuda far away, especially from the place where the Nobori was on the west side.

I used to come to the botanical garden and the flower land of the flower shop, but today I went to the Yawatayama burial mound for the first time. I'm glad that it was full of nature and was beautifully maintained ~ ✨ ✨ Healed ✨ An old brother was cleaning and called out ? "I live relatively close, but I came here for the first time ❗ It's a very good place ~ ? It's beautifully maintained and the scenery is good When I say "❗", "No ~ ? People near me don't come very often ✋ I can't come anytime ?" ? I don't have any playground equipment, but I think children will definitely be happy ❗ Spacious I'm doing it ~ ✨ Now are the autumn leaves, chestnuts and oaks? Although the fruits were falling, there were many cherry trees, so the spring cherry blossom season seems to be good ? From the top of the tumulus, I could see the town of Akiha Ward and the distant Mt. Yahiko and Mt. Kakuda ✨ A couple also came, but it's a good place to take a leisurely mountain walk ~ ? Postscript → 2021.2.13 The newspaper stated that four of the thatched-roof pit dwellings had collapsed due to this year's heavy snowfall ? Because it was made of materials that reproduce those days, five of the seven buildings However (it seems that one building was destroyed by snow three years ago), it seems that it can not be entered inside ? It is said that it is a valuable archaeological site for learning about life in the Yayoi period, so it became a national historic site in 2005 It seems that it was designated, and it seems that it will consider restoration with durable materials in the future ... In terms of experiencing the life of those days, what about modern materials? "Artificial turf" like artificial turf ? I don't think it's true, but ?? It was said that the remaining two buildings will support the internal tour for a while ✋

It is a well-maintained Yayoi period ruin. Seven houses have been restored. There is also a prefectural botanical garden nearby, and if the weather is nice, I think it's the best place to take a leisurely walk.
