Wonderful experience. If you’ve never tasted eel before — which we hadn’t — this is the place to start. Rich, tender, and not at all "fishy". Paired with some wonderfully sticky rice, green onions, and other accoutrements, it was a bowl of perfection. The waitress did not speak any English yet was incredibly kind and accommodating — despite the fact that we stayed a few minutes past closing time. If you're in this part of town and up for unagi, this us your spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For really good and well prepared unagi (eel) on rice, this is the place for it. Well seasoned, expertly grilled and presented traditionally. Do time your visit at odd eating hours as it can get quite crowded, plus the restaurant...as most of the eateries in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe can be small.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Unagi Don. Friendly staff. We had the charcoal eel and it was SO DELICIOUS! my son left his toy Shinkasen train here by accident and they kept it for him, we picked it up the next day. Very nice Local place. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely wonderful experience. The smoke is quite strong in the restaurant but it's a pleasant smell. The eel is served without much sauce. You get to add the sauce, broth and toppings to your own liking. The eel on its own is very tender and delicious.
