★ ★ ★ ★ ★ アパートの片隅にひっそりとあるので見落としそうですが、説明の看板があります。ＪＲ中央線・国立駅以南～南武線・谷保駅くらいまでの地域は、大正時代に学園都市として開発され古い道はほとんど潰されてしまいました。そのため他地域でよく見られる、三叉路に置かれる庚申塚や道祖神と言ったものがほとんど見られません。そんな中でこの庚申塚が現存しているのは、非常に貴重だと思います。目の前の道は開発を逃れた古い道で、他地域へのアクセスに重要な道だった様ですが今はひっそりとしています。栄枯盛衰を感じます。

The area from the south of Kunitachi Station on the JR Chuo Line to Yaho Station on the Nambu Line was developed as a school city in the Taisho era, and the old roads were almost destroyed. Therefore, you can hardly see Koshinzuka and Dosojin, which are often seen in other areas, on the three-way junction. Under such circumstances, I think it is extremely valuable that this Koshinzuka still exists. The road in front of us is an old road that escaped development, and it seems that it was an important road for access to other areas, but now it is quiet. I feel the rise and fall.
