沼沢の五十島吉次氏の住宅は江戸中期に建てられたもので、
当時における当地民家の標準的住宅でしたが、
昭和54年現在地（大字中川字上居平）に復元移築しました。
平屋中門造りは秋田地方を源流とする
日本海側東北地方(羽州)一帯に広がる多雪対応型で、
中門にウマヤと便所を設け、その前面に入口をつけた形式です

ちゃんと説明看板ありましたが…ちゃんと読まず?? 道の駅かねやま・東北電力水力館みお里と合わせてご覧ください✋的な感じですかね？?✋ お便所のとこに『この便所は使用しないでください』とあったのにウケた?これを使った人が居たのかなぁ？??

18世紀の会津の農家の暮らしが想像出来ます。
トイレやうまやが見られるのも珍しいです。
男根崇拝の風習もあったようです。
