岸和田の昔話に円勝寺の狐がありますが、実は狸だそうです。孤雲山円勝寺の孤の文字を狐と間違った所から話しが膨らんだみたいです。木魚も泥棒もなく、和助と言う名の狸が首からぶら下げたものを持ってお使いに言っていたそうです。副住職様お話し聞けて嬉しかったです。
