★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 曹洞宗のお寺、約400年前宿場町(鳴海)ができた頃に創建。本堂の屋根の上に本尊、青面金剛明王の使わしめの猿たちがいる。３匹はそれぞれ「見ざる」「言わざる」「聞かざる」のポーズわ取っていて、風刺的に慎みの心を教訓としたもの。使わしめの猿は「真猿」＝「魔去る」という語呂で昔から「くくり猿」を作って奉納したり、身代わりの猿としてお守りになったりしている。
A temple of the Soto sect, built about 400 years ago when the post town (Narumi) was built. On the roof of the main hall, there are monkeys used by the principal idol, Shomen Kongo Myo. Each of the three poses "see," "say," and "listen," and the lesson is satirical and modest. The monkeys used are the puns "Simian" = "Magic", and they have been making and dedicating "Kukuri monkeys" for a long time, and they have been used as amulets as substitute monkeys.
