★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 道標らしいものは無く、けもの道に近い人がまったく通った形跡が無い道を通るので迷子になりそうでした。頂上も周りが木で繁っており景色は期待できません。白鷹城から多羅砦と3つの山城をまたいで楽しむなら良い時間が過ごせると思います。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この砦跡にたどり着くにはしっかりとした準備が必要で踏み固められていない急斜面を木々に括りつけられた橙色のリボンを辿って登る必要があり安易な装備では登れないので注意が必要。
登り口は南側の道路に看板がありコンクリートの登り口から集会場脇を通り、神社鳥居の右手の墓地を抜けてその先が前述のほぼ道なき登山である。このポイントの少し西側に大正村企画のハイキングのチェックポイントの看板が朽ちて倒れてはいるが、存在したので以前にはか別の経路で登れるところがあるのかもしれない（大正村観光案内所で聞いた人は登り口は知っているが登ったことがないとのことであった。北側は民家敷地を抜ける必要があるとのこと）。往復で約25分であったので時間的には容易な行程といえる。
ということから、御朱印を配布している割には、登れないわけではないが、容易ではないため、残念な場所である。
