Y	Yuichi Azuma on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 永賞寺は敦賀市栄新町にある曹洞宗のお寺です。そこに大谷吉継供養塔があります。大谷吉継は裏切りが常の戦国の世に、盟友・石田三成との堅い友情に殉じた武将です。彼は病がちのため、信仰心が篤く、神社仏閣に多くの寄進をしました。東郷中区にあった天台宗の永昌寺をこの地に移し、回船問屋の道川(どうのがわ)家を開基として、再興しました。武山栄文禅師を招じて曹洞宗永賞寺に改め、菩提寺として優遇しました。吉継の晩年はハンセン病を患い、白い布で頭を覆って戦った武将として知られています。天正17(1589)年には秀吉政権のもと敦賀城主となり、12年間才能を発揮し、軍事・物流の最重要拠点であった敦賀城下の整備拡大を図りました。慶長5(1600)年、天下分け目の関ヶ原で勝ち目のない戦と知りつつ、西軍三成側について善戦しましたが、味方の裏切りにより大谷軍は全滅し、吉継は42才で自害しました。この供養塔は慰霊のために9年後(1609年)に建てられたと伝えています。 Eishoji is a temple of the Soto sect in Sakaemachi, Tsuruga City. The Eiyo-ji Temple of the Tendai sect in Togo-Naka Ward was relocated to this area and re-established with the opening of the Donogawa family, a shipping company. Invited Takeyama Sakae Bunzenshi to change to Soto Soinaga Shoji Temple, which was favored as a Bodaiji Temple. Yoshitsugu's later years were known as warlords who suffered from leprosy and covered their heads with white cloth. In 1589, he became the Lord of Tsuruga Castle under the Hideyoshi administration and demonstrated his talents for 12 years. In 1600 (Keicho 5), he knew that there was no victory in Sekigahara, a world-class division, but he fought well on the Western Army Mitsunari side. The memorial tower is said to have been built nine years later (1609) for memorial service.

The red stamp is for writing only, but you can get it at the resident's house next to the main hall.
