★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little zoo is certainly worth a trip if you’re nearby. The giant anteaters and the wallabies are fun to watch as well as many of the other residents, but this zoo is very small. The thing that still makes it nice is that it’s completely free. If you’re far away, though, I’d look for something else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent experience with a number of animals free of charge! They’ve opened the zoo from May 26 since an emergency state was declared. It was a little crowded because some people were waiting in line at the entrance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite nice for a public free zoo. Memorable prairie dogs, monkeys, and penguins, but a few more exotic and interesting animals, too.
Google Maps is showing an entrance where there is none, but because of covid only one of the entrances is open right now. It's the one all the way on the west side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The animal collection is may not be as many as other famous zoos, but it's just more than enough to make our children happy. It's also FREE and the only decent zoo in Tokyo which stays open during the pandemic time.
