Teramachi Arashi This shop like a hideout located in the mouth is a Michelin 1 star shop where Mr. Morinaga Morinaga owner chef sticks to seasonal ingredients and finishes in French. When entering the shop, it is guided to the semi-underground table passing by the kitchen shining up shiny. From the table the eyes stop at the wine cellar where the green of the Imperial Palace was in the eye. We are keen to choose wine by himself as well as visiting France and visiting producers. お一人で料理とサービスをされていましたが、料理も丁寧で大変美味しかったです。 ワインも手頃な価格からあり(もちろん手頃なお値段しか手が出ませんが)楽しまさせて頂きました。
The food and service were done alone, but the food was polite and very delicious. Wine was also available at reasonable prices (and of course only affordable prices were available).

シェフのこだわりが、なんとも心地よく、 コースの流れがが絶妙なバランスでメリハリがあり、ほんまに美味しい!! 1組1組のお客様を大切におもてなししてくださるお店です。 シェフの笑顔が自然体という感じですね。 心からお料理が好きなんだろうなぁというのが、潔いキッチンの作りに現れてますね〜。 また行きたい。 結婚記念日なんかに、ちょうど良いかも。
The commitment of the chef is so comfortable, There is sharpness with exquisite balance of course, it is delicious really! ! It is a shop that cherishes hospitality for one pair of customers. The chef's smile is a natural body. It seems to me that I like cooking from the bottom of my heart, it appears in the making of a clean kitchen. I want to go there again. It might be just right for my wedding anniversary.

素敵な空間が広がり、クラッシック音が流れている。シェフ一人で、料理、サービスの全てをこなしている。料理が好きで、こだわっていることがよく伝わり、哲学を感じます。野菜は京都より取り立てを集めているとのこと。チーズは、時間が進み過ぎていたと感じましたが「ベストなタイミング」だとお隣には説明されてました。 お酒と一緒に楽しめる料理を提供されたいのであろうが、こちらはお酒が飲めず。お隣のテーブルは、お酒と共に料理を楽しまれていた。明らかに扱いの差を感じました。また、一人ゆえにどうしても手薄になる。料理のは同席者が一斉に出されるので、テーブルごとの良いタイミングでは提供されない。全員がお皿の料理を食べるまで待っていなければいけないにも関わらず、しっかりサービス料10%がチャージされていた。料理・ドリンクは税抜き価格。故にお会計には、さらに+10%です。 料理:★★★★☆ サービス:★★★☆☆ 価格感:★★★☆☆
A nice space spreads out and a classic sound is flowing. The chef alone handles all of the cooking and service. I like cooking, and I can feel the philosophy of being particular about it. Vegetables are collected from Kyoto. Cheese felt like it was too late, but the neighbor explained that it was the "best time". You may want to serve food that you can enjoy with alcohol, but you can't drink alcohol here. At the table next door, I was enjoying cooking with alcohol. I clearly felt the difference in treatment. Also, because I am alone, I am inevitably thin. The dishes are served all at once, so they are not served at the right time for each table. The service charge was 10%, even though everyone had to wait until they ate the dishes on the plate. Prices for food and drinks do not include tax. So for accounting, it's an additional + 10%. This was the best meal we had in Japan. We arrived in Kyoto following a gluttonous four days in Tokyo at big name-recognition places like Narisawa, L’Osier, and Sushi Yoshitake. Earlier in the day on which we dined at Droit we also already had lunch at La Cime in Osaka. We arrived with full bellies and empty wallets and this place STILL wins over any of them. It was so memorable. It’s a one-man operation. The chef is your waiter and sommelier. He has a good command of English and an interesting library of small-production wines, mostly French. Sauces tasted as if an underling had been whisking away at them all day. Fishes and meats were utterly perfect. The sweetbreads were the best I’ve ever had. The French tradition is strictly followed throughout every component of every dish, with a sprinkling of Japanese here and there. This place is SERIOUSLY GOOD. We talked about Japanese knives and whiskey during our 3-hour culinary expedition. It deserves more than one Michelin star. Go now before it inevitably wins its second.
