★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Needed to "convert" my US license to a Japanese one. I realize that license centers are generally busy but the earliest appointment available was 3 months later. They could not answer a couple of basic questions I had either and ended up searching the web for answers as best as I could. They could save time if they had a website for this type of thing and saved me a trip.
On the day, I fortunately had all the paperwork necessary, and subjected to a rather random array of questions regarding my driving experience that lasted almost 90 minutes. In the end, I was presented with my license in the afternoon that same day, for which I am grateful.
