This year's water festival is Sunday, February 9th. We were blessed with good weather and were very successful. Next year's main festival is Wednesday, February 3.

普段は、静かなお寺です。脇を通った中学生の自転車の男の子が「こんにちは」と、声をかけてくれました。
土地柄の良さを感じました。
I heard that Yonegawa water-headed departure from this temple, I went there.

A temple known for its UNESCO intangible heritage "Yonekawa no Mizukaburi". The main hall has just been rebuilt, but the gate of Tome City's designated cultural property has a long history and feels profound.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2月上旬に行われる無形世界文化遺産の火伏祈願「米川の水かぶり」メイン会場です。かのイベントは半裸に藁づとの男衆が来訪神となり集落の家々を回り桶の水を家にぶっかけていくことでその家の一年間の火防を約束するものです。
これが大変に面白い。人文地理学や文化人類学好きには控えめに言って最高の体験が出来ます。会社や学校休んででも来訪神に水ぶっかけられて藁をひっぺがしてお守りにする事をお勧めします。
なお、来訪神を終えた男衆はたぶん風邪引いてると思います。零下での神事ご苦労様でした。
This is the main venue of the Yonekawa Water Cover, a prayer for inclement prayers of the Intangible World Cultural Heritage held in early February. The event promises a one-year fire protection by having a half-naked man with a straw and visiting the village as a god to visit the houses in the village and spill the water in the tub.
This is very interesting. For those who like human geography and cultural anthropology, to say the least, you can have the best experience. It is recommended that you visit the god of water even if you take a break from work or school so that the straw can be pulled down and used as a talisman.
In addition, I think that the men who have finished visiting God probably have a cold. It was a godly struggle under zero.
