★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are so fortunate to find this wonderful guest house in Nishinari area. Amazing local staff who genuinely cares, and super convinient location in the middle of arcade street near shinsekai. I discovered the wonderful old Osaka spirit in every person I encountered there. My kids and I can’t wait to come back again. Don’t forget to inquire about the breakfast menu. It was so delish! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dropped in for a quick coffee. The coffee was amazing - made with freshly ground beans and strong enough, which is rare for Japan. But the warm and friendly welcome from the community spirited artists who run this gem made it truly special!

Cocoroom is a family run business that stands as a beacon of hope, the owners are friendly and the atmosphere reminds me of collectives, where mutual aid is the core philosophy. I would strongly suggest anyone pay a visit to this wonderful place and have a cup of coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Individual rooms are small but comfortable, and the staff is very helpful.
There are enough showers and toilettes, wich are modern and clean, the inner courtyard is very convenient to eat and relax.
CoCoRoom is located inside a typical shotengai, full of small stores and traditional businesses, small karaokes... but also near well conected stations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not only it was one of the safest place in Airin district this place provides you a cheap accommodation and a comfortable rooms. Breakfast here was 500 yen. Nishinari no longer is slum in Japan but a tourism spot for backpackers and travelers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Close to subway & railway. Quiet. Family ambiance. Some workshops are offered also. Breakfast/lunch/dinner is cheap & really good. That garden add an extra of restful place. The facilities are good and clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was so difficult finding this hotel. It’s off the main road, down a pedestrian alley way. My cab driver couldn’t find it on his GPS and even when he called them to ask for directions, he had trouble. Luckily, though, once you know where it is, it’s easy to find. And it’s worth it. It’s cute, funky, and comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful, and it’s actually quite near the metro. There isn’t much in the neighborhood (even the alley way it’s in is basically local markets, barbershops, etc), and outside the alley, on the main street, it looked a bit seedy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice staff which also speaks English, friendly atmosphere as well as good and clean facilities. Great plus: For budget travellers, there's a cheap supermarket just next door. Station is 3 mins away and one can reach main station in about 10 mins. Also the plethora of bars and restaurants around are convenient to have. Straight A.
