NHK大河ドラマの八重の桜で一躍有名になった会津木綿の織元です。
店内は会津木綿で作られたワンピースや、小物たちでいっぱいですが、私はお目当ての着物をお店の方に相談。
気に入った生地、柄を選べば仕立てて送ってくださるとのこと。
悩みに悩み数ある中からこれぞと決めて、身丈や裄を測っていただきます。
反物9500円、仕立て、送料でジャーン！
なんと31000円で広衿単のお着物を作ってくださるそう。
仕立て上がったら、下駄と合わせて4月の会津を再訪する楽しみが出来ました！

商品は高額な物が多いですが、隣の工房をみたらその理由がわかります。昭和初期の機織りが20台ほど設置されてその内15台が稼働中だそうです。
説明を聞いただけで、ワンピース一枚が長い時間かけて作られたことが想像できます。
一見の価値ありです。
We manufacture and sell valuable Aizu cotton. I bought a dress for 27,000 yen to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday.
Many of the products are expensive, but you can see why by looking at the workshop next door. About 20 weaving machines were installed in the early Showa period, and 15 of them are in operation.
Just by listening to the explanation, you can imagine that one piece was made over a long period of time.
