★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 玉島発電所設備の中でもひときわ目を引くのが煙突です。中でも玉島発電所３号機の煙突は東京都庁とほぼ同じ230mと，西日本一の高さを誇ります。遠くからでも確認できるその姿は，玉島地区の目印的な存在となっています。
なお煙突には、排煙脱硫装置や排煙脱硝装置を設置するなど，環境対策を最優先に取り組んでいます。
