★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You may arrive thinking "I've heard there are a number of asses, breasts, and associated images lining the walls". You may wonder why there are golden phallus behind curtains. This may all bring you to the place, and you won't be disappointed -- truly -- but it doesn't stop the cooks from carving a duck in front of your face. It doesn't stop the bucketloads of beer filling your glasses. There are many inexplicable things on this earth, and several of those may be found in the great Kansai, Osaka cacophony engine -- but you will arrive here and, if nothing else, be curious as to what just happened. It's loud, aggressive, and very subtlety priced beyond what you'd want to pay for a man shouting at you. But you leave happy, and feeling mildly violated -- which kind of simulates the entirety of the Namba experience in general.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to cafe 8 many times. The food is authentic and the restaurant design is very unique. You will see what I mean when you go there. Last time I had scorpions on rice and some very spicy dishes as well as just some nice traditional Chinese food. This is a must visit restaurant in Osaka and is one of the only places I would recommend Michelin visit for a review. Take a large group and get one of the large spinning tables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great. Highly recommended if you want to try Beijing dishes, not Japanese-style Chinese food, at a very good price in a loose ambience.
The local is roomy, the decoration kitsch but funny and the staff did their work well enough.
You may not want to come here if you are used to quick service and obliging employees.
I was enjoying my meal so I forgot to take some pictures but you can find a lot of them in other reviews.

The interior is fun and does really remind you of China - you won't be getting treated as a typical Japanese customer in this restaurant though, the staff are quite curt and to the point (snatching menus off the table, pointing to the water self-service) Still all good fun though and I'll be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alright, the service here isn't the best but I just don't care.
Their Peking duck course is an absolute must try. The boiled gyoza is just magnificent, and the location is extremely good.
The decor is so tacky that it loops around into becoming chic and cool.
5 stars. I recommend this to EVERYONE I know.
