★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't often post reviews for restaurants, but we have been all over Toyko this week, and this has been my husband's favorite food of the trip. He liked it so much, we came back twice. We recommend the mapo tofu dan dan noodles and the fried gyoza. Note to other reviewers: there were no smokers in the restaurant either time we visited. They also had an English menu. Happy dining!

Mapo tofu - rice was still too hard on the inside. Tofu tasted great with mala spices in the gravy
Szechuan sesame hot noodles - rich, spicy sesame soup, with the noodles soaking up the taste. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Non smokers alert! Although it says no smoking premises at the entrance, but everyone is allowed to smoke in there. English menu available but the treatment we got seems not really foreigner friendly. Tried their tan tan noodles and mabo tofu, nothing to shout about, we have tried much better ones at other places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mabohan is delicious! The tongue also becomes numb! Tantan noodles have variations in hardness and boiling of noodles. Soup is delicious! So, ★ 4, but it is the lowest shop to make you smoke inside the restaurant. Absolutely impossible!
