CHARKHA - Osaka

For many years, as I traveled throughout Eastern Europe, I had frequent opportunities to consider a simple question: What brings abundance to our lives? Charkha is a place where warmth and a sense of nostalgia can be shared with others.
This is not simply a place where “things” are sold. Rather, this is a space filled with folkloric charm, where care, and attention to detail can be found in each of our various items and handcrafted goods from Eastern Europe. Our store also has a large bookshelf with a collection of local catalogues and translated texts, while our small cooking classes and handicraft workshops will give you the sense that you’ve journeyed to an Eastern European home. Through this range of products and services, we continue to share tips and wisdom for our daily lives, demonstrate the beauty of objects, and express the joy of making.

Shop selling Eastern European beads, buttons, cloth, lace and stamps. Especially, there are many types of Czech thread buttons. The shop is small, but the retro style of the shop and the atmosphere of Eastern European miscellaneous goods match the old shop, so the whole shop is cute. I also make accessories in the store, so when I ask a clerk a question, I answer properly. It seems that they also hold a workshop on accessories and interior goods in the store. Also, I participate in various events. It seems that they are regularly going to buy in Eastern Europe, and they are doing activities beyond the general store such as publishing the situation at that time as a book.

I loved Kitahorie's miscellaneous goods and cafes, but when I asked about it after moving, an elderly person suddenly came to me with Stasta and said, "Please put your luggage on the bench, please put it all!" It's not a baggage, it's empty-handed, and did it look like a shoplifter? I wanted to leave the shop early, the aunt, didn't say anything to the later guests.
