★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chill bar setting kind of coffee drinking atmosphere. Like the fact they use the (where I come from) old coffee bag to make the coffee. Not much bitterness in the coffee. Nice place to spend the afternoon and catch up on caffeine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came nearby and randomly decided to get in for a quick break. Was amazed by the ‘80s interior and atmosphere.
Most coffee on menu are around 6~7 USD which is okay. The service is friendly, love the relaxing music they played as BGM, and the best part is this is a non-smoking place. Perfect place to stay and chill.
Didn’t have chance to try out their sandwich - maybe next time.
Oh and they don’t accept credit card so make sure you got some cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe was so cute — it had the classy atmosphere of 1980s Japan. A nice selection of coffees and teas. The “toast” options are more than what they seem — they are basically a sandwich. Reasonably priced with frequent service. I highly recommend for a calm, relaxing afternoon with friends. This place will fill up quickly on weekends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a lovely, cozy, and relaxing place. I am sure it is pretty difficult to find such coffee shop. I have been to quite numbers of coffee shops in Japan and U.S., but this place is by far one of the top fives. It has unique atmosphere that makes you want to stay for as much as time allows you to do so.
Half the seats were filled around 830 am, Saturday morning. I ordered egg toast and coffee. Coffee came first. There was steam coming out of the cup and the handle was thin that worried me to spill the hot liquid. The bean was crystal mountain, Cuba. It was much bitter than I expected, unlike typical coffee in Japan, it is not light (I have to make more visits to be sure about this.)
When the dish arrived, I was amazed by the portion, toast was thick and had large volume of egg paste. As a 22 years old woman, I was barely able to finish my plate.
There are croissant, cheese toast, and butter toast available as well, but the portion seemed enormous of all.
By 9am, all the seats were filled by customers. On average, one or two people per group. Not a lot of tables, but wide enough to contain 30 customers at a time. Very recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caffe Lapin is everything you want it to be, the epitome of classic, unchanged, original, and it's awesome to see so many of these old school coffee houses still survive. About the only thing "missing" is the cigarette smoke, and I use that term with a sense of nostalgia more than a lack of enjoyment.
Wide variety of coffees, hand picked as most are, this is not a place to grab a quick cup. The espresso is wonderful, the food options very limited and exceptionally simple yet good. Toast reigns supreme, you don't come here for a big meal, just a quick bite or some breakfast.
A fun stop, stuck in the past but in a good way.
