★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First rate facility as stated by others. The use of wood surfaces added a warm and ambience to an otherwise modern bath. I loved the feel of the water. My skin felt like silk afterwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very pleasant onsen with good mineral water. 1 hot pool and several less warm pools. Shampoo and body shower provided. You can also buy a package for the train+entry at the main train station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I quite enjoyed it. There is a very modern look and feel to the place. There are lots of spots to wash yourself at. There are three different baths (in the ladies section). The one inside seems to be the normal bath temperature. But on the outside, one is even hotter and the other is cooler, which was a nice contrast. I was staying at a hostel near Kawaramachi, and you could get a return train ticket (which was a fan), entry to the onsen, and a towel for 1000 yen, at the train station. Very handy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely onsen with lots of outdoor baths. Small cafe/restaurant inside with a good menu, I would recommend one of the shaved ice desserts to cool down after a nice hot bath! Things to know: you can buy a small towel from the front desk when you enter (which you can keep after you leave), and they don’t admit people with visible tattoos. They do have a small supply of plasters at the front desk to cover up smaller ones. We went in with plasters over small & medium sized tattoos and had no trouble. It’s an onsen really worth a visit! Very relaxing atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful modern design with indoor and outdoor bath. Very local and quite remote but worth the trip after a long day of exploration. Make sure you've got your towels and if you've got tattoos it will be a problem. I managed to get in by covering mine but it really felt like they were doing a favour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This onsen was recommended by a local, so I took the hour trip to check it out. It's a nice bath. There's many outdoor baths, but the indoor one was quite tiny, and I could do with less windows. I'm used to being naked with strangers but it would be nice if you couldn't see everyone in the bath and the changing room from every angle.
