A bit overpriced, but considering the location, it’s to be expected. In the youth mecca around Shibuya St. (east), there are few adult, proper food options (of any cuisine). Downstairs there’s a boulanger that imports it’s flour from France; so, the bread options are very, very good.. 3.5 stars

Didn't take us that long to be seated. Meal was good and of small portions. Unlimited bread though (there is an extra charge of butter for around 500 yen). Overall, it was ok. Staff is friendly and all smiles! Thinj next time I will take out vs. dine in.
T	Thierry Consigny on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since 1816 and six generations of millers, The VIRON Mills are very well know if France in the Val de Loire, offering the unique French wheat flour Retrodor (“La Tradition Française”) Executive chef Noriaki USHIO牛尾則明was trained at Viron and has brought the Retrodor to Japan, establishing Boulangerie Patisserie Brasserie VIRON with two branches in Shibuya and Marunouchi. It is certainly one of the best bread shops in Tokyo. We like the Shibuya branch which beside the Boulangerie Patisserie has an excellent restaurant (“Brasserie”) on its second floor. Beside lunch and dinner, VIRON Shibuya is a nice place for breakfast between 9am and 11am. Its offers excellent price for value with a breakfast at 1,500 Yen per person: the place is quiet, the tables spacious (ideal for 4 persons) and it is very adequate either for family gathering or business meeting. The price includes a hot drink (coffee as much as you can drink), two kinds of breads x 2 pieces, plus two viennoiseries (among a choice of 6 or 7 varieties). You will have a choice of 7 French jams (confitures) from the French Maison Francis MIOT. You will be kindly offered to bring back hone uneaten bread and viennoiseries.
T	Tobac Jack on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update (Feb 2018): tried the restaurant upstairs and quite enjoyed it although the prices are certainly on the high end (expect ¥2000-4000 and higher per dish). Service was good and every dish was well prepared -- not too salty or sweet, preserving the original flavors of the ingredients. What was odd was that while we arrived at 9:30 pm, they wouldn't let us order any of the desserts still available on the first floor. I could see there were plenty left over, so this is just one of their rules which makes little sense to me from both a customer's and a business perspective: during dinner time you can order a whole other set of desserts from their restaurant menu, but all the downstairs items are off limits. Original review of the downstairs bakery: If you consider bleary eyed, lethargic Japanese wage laborers to be a distinctive and necessary feature of a typical French bakery, then this is no doubt your place. Step right in and let the bougy prices put a smile on your face. With this preamble out of the way, I will admit the bread is authentically delicious and so are the sweets.

A little on a pricey side and quite complicated to order because you have to tell (or point to) the lady what you wanted while there's a lot of people line up behind you. But please try, totally worth it.
