C	Carl Hen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a group of 8 tourists who wanted to drink some coffee in the cafe on the upper floor. However, though the shop was open and 2 Japanese girls were sitting already there having a coffee too the waitress told us that the cafe was closed. One of our group does speak Japanese and told her that in front of the shop the sign said open but she did not want us as customers. So it seems that they have a serious problem regarding foreign tourists. For this reason I recommend not to visit this cafe/shop.
S	Susan Wallace on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best bakery we have found on our 2 week trip. Please do visit! The dining area upstairs is beautiful, order your coffee upstairs. Also has an additional menu of quiche& sandwiches. Loved it.
A	Anna Pu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the good bakerys I've been to in Japan. One bread I tried had dried fruits and nuts inside, but was a bit dry. Otherwise I really enjoyed their food. Very friendly staff. For me who currently can't eat dairy products the allergy signs for each product were very helpful. They showed wether dairy products or egg were used.

S	Se Do on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a disappointment! The bread and croissants were so not tasty. Coffee tastes like water despite the name “cup of excellence” and the price 800 yen! A place to avoid. Go opposite for a very delicious toast, yogurt and a strong coffee.
J	Jason J on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've read some of the reviews here and surprised to find no one commented on the beautiful decor, not even the Japanese visitors! I happen to be visting the area when this building was being built, and visited again after it was completed. This entire building has not a single nail! Its walls are made of mud/straw in the old way and the beams, windows, furnitures, everything in it has not a single nail. The wood carvings on the steps of the stairs show the degree of meticulousness that went into this and most everything inside this building. The tables and chairs are of unique design, done by local artists. The tea cups are in the shape of a leaf. I can go on and on about this wonderful place!

Easy to shop plastic-free for fresh breads. Located in a beautiful traditional 2 floor Japanese building.
