駅からの距離がネックかなぁ…少々(かなり？)歩く必要がある。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔は上石神井の駅周りだけでも2件ほどの中古本屋があったはずだけれどもいつの間にかここだけに。ゲームショップもゲーセンもなくなり、時代とはいえ寂しいな。
There used to be about two second-hand bookstores around Kamishakujii station, but before I knew it, it was only here. There are no game shops or arcades, and I feel lonely even in the times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 本棚の間(通路)が狭いのが欠点ですが、文庫本がかなり揃っていて、本の入れ替えも良くされているようなので、良く寄ります。
The disadvantage is that the space between the bookshelves (aisle) is narrow, but it seems that the paperback books are quite complete and the books are replaced well, so I often go there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 上石神井駅南口店っていう名前がすごく昔のブックオフの勢いを示してますよね。南口店ということは、北口店もできるかもしれないという可能性があったのでしょう。私の地元の荻窪店も、正式には荻窪北口店です。ただ、ここは荻窪、吉祥寺などの大規模ブックオフと比べて狭いので、どうしても、掘り出し物が少ないのですよね。昔は周辺に古書店さんもありましたが、もうなくなりましたから、一般書を求める近所の人にとって、なくなると困るお店だと思います。
The name Kamishakujii Station South Exit shows the momentum of Book Off in the olden days. The South Exit store may have been the possibility that the North Exit store could also be opened. My local Ogikubo store is also officially the Ogikubo north exit store. However, since this area is smaller than large-scale book-offs such as Ogikubo and Kichijoji, there are few bargains. There used to be an antiquarian bookstore in the area, but it's gone, so I think it's a store that would be a problem for neighbors seeking general books.
