★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great yakiniku place. Nice and cosy place with delicious meats. A warm atmosphere tucked away in a place where you’d never expect a restaurant to be. Despite the language barrier, we ordered a omakase(not on the menu) and it was satisfying. The cabbage with chicken oil is heavenly as it is sweet and light yet flavourful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent atmosphere. If you’re looking for a cozy authentic Japanese restaurant look for this place. Only serves chicken yakitori. Run by a local couple, the restaurant is intimate and no fuss; good quality sake and drinks with a loyal local clientele. Great experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a few non Japanese meals in Kariuzawa, we wanted a good Japanese meal. Bird Yakitori came highly recommended from Google.
Parking for guest is available not too far from the restaurant.
It is manned by a couple. Despite having no English menu, there is a picture that matches words to chicken parts. We had the omakase set with a few add ons. What we liked were these, chicken breast( sasami), heart (hatsu), Reba (liver), tebasaki (wings) as well as the fried tofu. I am highly recommeding this place for their yakitori and I like to know that I know my yakitori.
