★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must visit for any food lover in Niigata, requires basic Japanese language skills but they are very excited for foreign visitors, esp those willing to try their Japanese language skills and expand their cuisine experiences. If you go on the weekend you can see all of the stands open. Grilled fresh oysters are a delicious choice, and they offer other amazing fresh grilled seafood then too. As a foodie in Niigata it is a place I've been to many times and am never disappointed in the selection. The fresh veggie and meats side is equally great and affordable. The liquor store in the same complex has a huge selection of locally produced beverages. Get some lunch, anytime really, weekdays you can just grab a quick bite from the seafood bento boxes. Very hospitable and happy to have you there!
