Ah if you were born in the 90's you will enjoy seeing some of anime character you grew up watching. They be also have current popular anime characters

It is overpriced and outdated. I am not clear who this places is appealing to. We had a young child with us and made use of the tiny play area, much more than the staff expected I think. The exhibits head away from cute and fun and are headed toward being a bit macabre.

Bandai Museum is in Mibu in which is about 100km away from Tokyo. You need to beware the opening and closing time (10:00am to 4:30pm). Admission fee is required (children is cheaper). There are 1-to-1 in scale Kamen Riders in front of the right door. Inside the main hall, there is 6 meter high Gundam. There is also a section that displays toys of all kinds from the world. Another section, Edison Museum, which dedicated to American scientists with several of their inventions.

There are many old toys on display, heaven if you are into this. I know I relived my childhood by going. I walked from the Omocha No Machi station (Toy Town Station!) about 10 minutes to the museum. While it is packed with items to see, it is rather in a compact area, so if this is not your thing, in this case it may not be worth the effort if you are not specifically in the area or combing this with the Mibu Toy Museum is recommended to round out the trip. If you are going by train, it will take you about 2 to 2.5 hours to get there depending on the class of travel you choose. It will cost approximately $30 more to save 25 minutes by Bullet Train, I chose to use local without problem, thanks to Google maps!

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. ¥1000 to basically see toys in display cases - have a look at my photos. Some areas were a tiny tiny tiny bit interesting but with pretty much zero English support I couldn't fully appreciate a lot of the rooms - especially the Edison room. Very boring. Heard some kids complaining they were bored! Add the entry cost to the cost of getting there and it's really not worth it (it's not close to the closest JR station - would require a bus at around ¥1000 return cost). It's closer to the Tobu Trainline but still requires a 10-15min walk. Majorly disappointed. Thought "bandai" would at least have some arcade stuff or more interaction or even a decent gift shop....... But no. Best thing was a hot food vending machine. If I'd had known before coming, I wouldn't have come.
