★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite often you find that Spanish tapas paws are over done with too much salt. At Aupa they have found the perfect balance between taste between oil's meat, fish and ingredients.
English, Japanese, Spanish all spoken here so no problem ordering.
Great wine and great selection of cured meats and hams.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seating charge is 400 yen per person. Drink menu has incorrect prices, food is completely inauthentic. The tapas selection had things like grated carrot with vinegar, or just plain lettuce. Inside the chairs are wooden benches with no cushions so it's uncomfortable The staff dont come outside to check if you need anything. Altogether a very bad experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm Spanish and I tried plenty of Spanish restaurants during my ten months stay in Japan. Aupa was honestly the best one. I even went two days on a road because the food was so good and I've missed it so much. Gazpacho, boquerones al vinagre, tortilla de patatas and other tapas were as tasty as they are in Spain. The flavour was so authentic and the service was so friendly and kind that I felt at home. If I have the chance to go to Osaka again, I will visit Aupa again for sure

The paella for lunch is a must, probably the best in Osaka and for the price is a steal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality of the food at lunchtime was not ideal - the paella was dried out and cold. It may be better during dinner when turnover is higher?
The space is small and cute and very casual, with high tables running along the narrow restaurant and a 4-person table outside. I don't think it's ideal for groups.
The menu feels more South Spanish than most other Spanish restaurants in Osaka, so perhaps the owner is Andalusian.
