★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 元・第四銀行南高田出張所として開設されました。このあたりでは第四銀行は有人出張所として、競うように北越銀行は線路を渡った南高田町に支店として出店しました。周辺にはまだJAも移転してなかったことから貴重な金融機関でした。
時代が進み、有人出張所から無人のATMコーナーに格下げになり、今度は第四銀行と北越銀行が合併し第四北越銀行となりました。
通帳の取り扱いには「できるもの」と「できないもの」が合併してから発生していますので古い時期に発行された「かるがも通帳」など使えない通帳に該当している場合には、旧北越銀行になる南高田支店に行くことをおすすめします。
