カツ類に関しては焼き上げ調理という手法のため調理時間は15分ほどかかるが待ち時間に見合うほどの絶品なカツが提供される。
豚カツもさる事ながら海老カツも今流行りの衣でかさ増しすることなく口に含んで咀嚼した瞬間からプリプリの海老が口の中に弾ける感触を味わうことができる。
何よりも焼き上げのため油の重たさはほとんどなく胃もたれすることがない食後の余韻はここでしか味わえない。

客はカウンターに私1人。
豚かつの方は、残念なことにキャベツの水分が衣の下にしみてしまってた...
味は可もなく不可もなく。
味噌をトッピングしたのですが、小皿に申し訳程度の量でした。
もう少し味噌の量があってもよかったかな…

オープン直ぐなのか、まだお客さんは誰も来てませんてした。そして噂に聞いてたロースカツ定食をいただきました。
豚カツは、肉厚 やわらか 衣は薄く アッサリで胃もたれ無さそう！
同様に、すぐ近くのやわらかアッサリなトンカツで有名な「美はる」よりは安く美味しく頂けました。逆に今度また「美はる」にも行きたくなりました。
ごちそうさまでした。満足満足♪

カウンター席に座ると、調理場の様子がよく窺える。
おそらく80代と思わしき、ご年配の大将が一人、黙々とカツを作っている。
一度、フライパンで表面を揚げてから、天火でじっくりと仕上げる調理工程のようだ。
無駄な動きがない、手を抜かない、丁寧な仕事ぶりだ。
永年に渡って、一枚づつ積み上げてこられたであろう、職人の矜持を感じた。
もうそれだけでも十分なのですが、
＂ロースカツ定食1400円（税込）＂
この値段で、厚切りの大きいお肉がたべられるのは、着眼すべきところだと思う。
近頃は、繊細で、口当たりの爽やかな、小型のとんかつが流行している。
しかしこのお店には、トンカツになってしまった豚さんの、獣としてのプライドの叫び声が聞こえてくるような、肉々しい味わいがあった。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 焼きとんかつを扱うとんかつ屋は数あれどこちらのお店の焼きとんかつは自分的には1・2を争う出来映えの美味さです。肉が厚くて肉質も良く衣も良い感じに薄く纏っていて食べやすく上品なとんかつだと思います。味噌汁や小鉢の料理も美味しかったですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ロースかつ定食を頂きました。高齢のご夫婦できりもりされているようですが、店内も清潔感があり、お料理も丁寧に作ってあります。カツは、揚げカツではなく焼きカツ？表面を油で焼いた後、オーブンで仕上げる手法で、脂っこくなく、お肉もジューシーで柔らかいです。また是非伺いたいです。
