金沢かつぞう アークヒルズ店

金沢かつぞうのアークヒルズ店です。 アークヒルズにはサントリーホールに行くときくらいしか立ち寄らないのですが、今回は、読売交響楽団の定期演奏会があり、その前に夕食を取るため訪れました。 銘柄豚のメニューが目に付きましたが、悩んだ結果、リブロースを注文しました。 実食しました。 美味いです。柔らかくて味わい深いとんかつ。流石に上質部位です。 ただ、最近は林spfの名店ばかり使っていたせいか、味も揚げも少し物足りなさは感じました。 多分、これは比較対象がレベルの高過ぎる店だからだと思います。 価格に見合ったサービスと味です。そこは間違いないです。とんかつのためだけにこの店に来ることはないですが、それでも美味いとんかつ屋さんだと思います。

Not the greatest tonkatsu restaurant I've been to. The service is mediocre at best and their tonkatsu just okay. The tenderloin and loin meats were juicy and tender, but the way they fried their katsu was disappointing. The bread crumbs weren't as fluffy or crispy as what I'd wanted. I won't be coming back here for another meal.

The oiliest tonkatsu I haver ever tasted :( and it is a pitty because the meat is quite nice, but was not able to eat it

Thought might be greasy pork but it wasn't !! Crunchy pork made my day!! The rice and miso soup were great too!

One of the best deep fried oysters I've had. Each oyster was huge and fresh. Miso soup is a side dish you don't normally see a lot of differences but this place had a very good one. The sauce for the oysters was also good. Their popular dish is pork cutlet but I highly recommend the deep fried oysters set meal which I think is available only in winter.

Pork Loin Tonkatsu & Salmon Cutlet Lunch Set ??? @kanazawa.katsuzo_arkhills After finishing a meeting in Tameike-sanno, it was already 2pm and was struggling to find an open restaurant so I headed for Ark Hills which has several places that accommodate late lunchers like myself. ? Katsuzo is a tonkatsu restaurant originating from Kanazawa prefecture. Even though it was close to 2:30pm, it was still pretty busy and had to wait a couple of minutes for a table to be prepared. ⏳ The lunch set with fish cutlet caught my eye, so I decided on this. As with many tonkatsu restaurants, you can ask for free refills of miso soup, rice and cabbage. ? The fish of the day was salmon, which came in 2 generous-sized pieces. The salmon flesh was moist & tender, and the homemade tartar sauce was thick & rich, fresh lemon juice adding a touch of zest and acidity. Yummy! ? The pork loin was even better! With less breadcrumbs compared to other tonkatsu restaurants, this resulted in a crispy coating while maintaining tenderness and moisture, as opposed to soft & chewy. Even the fatty parts of the meat tasted much better than usual, likely due to a longer frying time. ? There are a different range of condiments to go with your meat - I recommend starting with salt, then ponzu, tonkatsu sauce and finally sesame sauce, using some mustard where necessary. ? My favourite was the pork and salt combination, extremely simple but it really brought out the umami. ? Even with 120g of pork and 2 salmon cutlets, my stomach didn't feel heavy or greasy after the meal, which sometimes happens when consuming fried foods. ??‍♂️ The atmosphere of this place was relaxed and casual, but the staff were super polite, warm and friendly. ??‍?
