★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fancy soba place in Aoyama. Their noodles are perfectly Al dente with elegant taste of buckwheat and their tempura is creative and DELICIOUS. As a Japanese I can assure you it is great. The atmosphere is also cool with a bar at the end with jazz music. Special kind of soba place, really cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food. Couldn't give 5 stars due to it being excessively hot inside and the music was a really weird Western jazz and contemporary mix. Lower the temp by 5c and have a more focused playlist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Soba is excellent, a little "harder" than I'm used to. It was just different not bad. Tempura melts in your mouth! Sauce uses dashi I think so not vegan or vegetarian. Pescatarians okay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best soba restaurants! I used to live in the US, and every time I went back to Tokyo for vacation, I ate here. I even went to this restaurant directly from the airport once, haha!
Kurumi-dare soba is their signature dish and I highly recommend it. Also, all side dishes are super good too, like salad, sashimi, Kamo-aburi. Recently tried fried pork and really liked it.
Staffs are super friendly and attentive. Nice taste on interior design. If you try Kawakamian once, you’ll know why I love this restaurant so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best soba ever. Their soba has that perfect chewiness to it. The kurumi tsuyu is surprisingly good. Their tempura is fried to perfection.
We ordered the course meal and we were not disappointed. Even the appetizers are really good. The tofu and the sauce on top of it were exceptional. The eggplant with mochi in oroshi ponzu was my 2nd favorite among the appetizers. The salad even had a maguro sashimi in it. The roast beef was brilliantly paired with wasabi. The sweet potato had a salty-sweet sauce on top of it. The dessert was almond jelly with kiwi.
Would definitely come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is located in a quiet alleyway in Aoyama. Soba noodles is quite good and there are a lot of tasty appetizers and side dishes ?. There are two outdoor tables. Due to State of emergency, they close at 8 and the last order is at 7:00 pm.
