★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 葵神社は飯山藩旧藩士や地元有志などが当時の本多豊後守家当主である本多実方公の承認を得て、飯山城本丸跡に神社を建立。本多家の家紋である「本多立ち葵紋」から社号を葵神社と定め、徳川家康公に仕えて特に初期に活躍した家祖・本多広孝公を祭神として祀り、明治16年9月26・27日の両日に鎮座祭を執り行い、以降毎年のこの日を例祭日とすることになった。
ただし、城山公園整備基本計画によって将来的は本丸跡から他の場所に移設される予定になっている。
Aoi Shrine was built on the site of the Iiyama Castle Honmaru with the approval of the former Iiyama Domain clan and local volunteers, who were the head of the Honda Bungo Moriya at the time. The company name was set as Aoi Shrine from the family crest of the Honda family, "Honda Standing Aoi Crest", and the ancestor Hirotaka Honda, who served Ieyasu Tokugawa and was particularly active in the early days, was enshrined as a deity. The enshrined festival was held on both the 26th and 27th of March, and every year thereafter, this day will be the regular holiday.
However, according to the Shiroyama Park Development Basic Plan, it is scheduled to be relocated from the Honmaru site to another location in the future.
