★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 明治３４年に舞鶴海軍工廠が設立されてより、作業中の事故などによる殉職者を慰霊するための鎮魂碑は大正８年に建立された。しかし青銅製であったために太平洋戦争末期に金属供出のために撤去された。
それを太平洋戦争末期の1945年7月29日の空襲による犠牲者などを合わせて祀るために、昭和52年に再建された。毎年7月29日には近くの雲門寺で法要が行われ、またこの碑の前で慰霊祭があるようだ。
桜の名所として有名な共楽公園だが、この鎮魂碑こそこの公園の中心の位置にあり、この公園の真の位置付けを教えてくれる。
 Since the Maizuru Naval Arsenal was established in 1891, a requiem monument was erected in 1918 to memorialize the line of duty death due to an accident during work. However, because it was made of bronze, it was removed at the end of the Pacific War for metal donation.
It was rebuilt in 1977 to enshrine the victims of the air raid on July 29, 1945, at the end of the Pacific War. Every year on July 29th, a memorial service is held at the nearby Unmonji Temple, and there seems to be a memorial service in front of this monument.
Kyouraku Park is famous for its cherry blossoms, but this requiem monument is located in the center of the park and tells us the true position of the park.
