The exhibition room where you can see that the first floor sells souvenirs and the like, and the second floor pays 300 yen. The first floor even sold items unrelated to the Shinsengumi.

We sell a lot of affordable products. Most of the exhibits were related to guns. It seems to be a collection before and after the Boshin War.

The entrance fee to the museum on the second floor is 300 yen. You may be more satisfied than the Byakkotai Museum, which is okay to take pictures and cannot be taken. It seems that the exhibits are being rearranged from time to time. Signed by Haruka Ayase and Motoko Obayashi. On the first floor, there are old historical books in cardboard, which is a hidden feature. In addition, used books from the Showa period are casually displayed.

There weren't many people going during the Obon festival, so I asked them to set up a car so that they would arrive before the opening on a normal weekend, and while walking around the area, it wouldn't open. Is it a holiday? I was worried, but it seemed to open while I was in the store just across the street. When I went inside, I said "Welcome" with a small voice. First, at that point, I withered. It's not as big as it sounds, but it's unmotivated. I'm grateful that I didn't talk to him while I was watching. After that, when I told him that I would like to see the exhibition on the 2nd floor, he said, "It's 300 yen," and I heard that the price has increased, 200 yen. For high steps, "Please be careful" Regarding the steep stairs, "Be careful because it's steep." Thank you for each, but it's natural to say. Go up and see the exhibition. You would certainly think that this is [300 yen is expensive unless you really like it]. However, I saw it because I like it, but I think it's still expensive. Seeing more valuable things in a larger exhibition space Even though there are museums and museums where you can put in one coin. Well, it may have been raised because the number of people is decreasing due to the corona vortex and it is difficult to maintain. For the time being, I thought that I would never come again, so I took pictures, looked at the exhibits in detail, read the explanations carefully, and was satisfied I went down the stairs. At the end of the stairs, I suddenly noticed something and looked at it, and found many imitation swords. Can I have something amazing with my friend who came with me? The staff must have heard it because it was inside the store with no customers. But without saying anything ... Haori with a stepped pattern, which is synonymous with the Shinsengumi that was displayed several times? Do you wear this as well? Ignore people who wear them in the photos, even if they say they have seen them. Sure, the owner was supposed to be a man, but he wasn't there. In other words, I was convinced that the unmotivated staff would be in charge of the store without the owner. When I left the store, I didn't have a word. I wanted to meet the owner, but I lost all of that feeling because of the attitude of this staff. Is it just unmotivated? Is the response different only for customers who are likely to buy it? I don't know which one, but I'm free to decide whether or not people who are going to come here will want to come, but I think it's a good idea to make a self-judgment after getting to know that there are cases like this.

Very friendly staff. Signs are entirely in Japanese (as expected) so be prepared to translate (Google's camera translation is helpful if necessary).

A small memorial hall for the Shinsengumi in Aizu-wakamatsu, with Shinsengumi-related collection which will be more useful if you understand Japanese language and the history. There's a Shinsengumi goods store on the first floor.

This is a very small (one room) exhibit. There is little education done, so you should know beforehand who the Shinsengumi was to really take something away from this. That said, if you're in the area, the entry fee is a ok and after you're done, exit the first floor shop, turn walk to your right, take the first right (note the Shinsengumi themed vending machine) take the next right and the next after and walk 50m to find a nice little soba shop in the block behind the museum building.

It's a very exquisite collection of swords and firearms. It's on the first floor of a souvenir shop. Unfortunately it's all in Japanese. And unfortunately it's in the most boring and dead Japanese towns I have ever been too. Actually it's not worth it in case you you only come for this museum.
