A Happy Pancake Omotesando - Shibuya City

We really liked these pancakes. We got one of the plain and the other was fresh fruit. The caramel syrup and honey whipped butter is absolutely amazing. The pancakes were so fluffy, unlike anything I've eaten before but not mushy. The fruit was fresh and the whipped cream was great.

Nice fresh fluffy pancakes! I loved the berry compote with it. The taste of the pancake wasn’t too different than the regular pancakes though. Great ambiance and pretty busy place in non covid times. Worth a visit for sure if you have a sweet tooth!

The pancakes here are really good and it’s a great place to go if you have a sweet tooth! The portions are big and quite filling and there’s a variety of different types of pancakes as well. They also have savory options too. I would definitely recommend coming to this place!

Fluffy, eggy pancakes! This is not your traditional recipe. By using egg whites, the texture is spongy, unique, but very tasty. In addition, a variety of sauces and flavours are available. We had "milk tea sauce and granola" and "strawberry cheese fondue". Amazing taste. Well worth making a reservation or arriving early (930am on a weekday is recommended if you don't want to wait!).

What an amazing breakfast place! I’ve seen these pancakes featured in many Japan travel videos and had to give it a try! There is a wait when you arrive due to every batch being made to order! They state the wait time when you arrive, so there are no surprises! While you wait, the kitchen is viewable and you can watch every step of the process! This was amazing to see! I didn’t realize how long they took to make! Watching the pancakes being plated just made me more hungry! The wait staff is very friendly and the waitresses we had was able to assist us in English, which we needed! I ordered an ice coffee and the egg,bacon, pancake plate. My friend got the chocolate banana pancakes. The chocolate banana pancakes were amazing! I had a bite, it taste like having cake for breakfast! My savory plate was was just as tasty!! The only thing I didn’t like was waiting for our drinks while they sat on the counter for a few minutes, and the server seeming annoyed with me when I asked for them. I also found it odd that our plates came out at separate times. All in all, it was worth the experience!

The fluffy pancakes at this store are great!! Usually souffle pancakes have a nice texture but not much flavour, the pancakes here are definitely have more eggy flavoured goodness ❤️ The store is really well decorated, the staff are nice, and it is well air-conditioned, so great on a hot day!

Yikes, not the best experience here. My pancakes were completely undercooked and had to send them back. The inside was wet and goopy and it was clear they were not completely finished cooking. My stomach turned at my first bite and I sent them back immediately. When my second plate came the taste was really mediocre. The taste was extremely eggy and there we no other taste besides airy egg (at least this time it was fully cooked though). The plates came out at weird times, one person got a plate and then fifteen minutes later the rest of us got our food so we could not eat and enjoy our meal together. I think part of our bad experience was also the fact that we were seated in some random back room and it felt like the staff was ignoring us. We pressed the call button multiple times but no one came to take our order so I had to get up and leave the room to flag someone down but when I asked for someone to take our order the server seemed angry at me and kinda snapped, but then later apologized? It was weird. I wish we were given the option to choose to sit in the back room rather than just be placed in it. I wanted to eat in the main part of the restaurant with everyone else, that is part of the experience. It felt like my dining experience was cheated. Also, there are many instances that when a group of foreigners go out to eat (like us) and when they are placed in a private room, very far away and separate from everyone else it gives the impression you are being hidden and not wanted to be seen. Not fun at all. Eventually another group came in our room but it was kinda awkward since the space was so small and it actually felt more dangerous for Covid than being in the regular open restaurant space. And of course the moment they pressed the call button a server came immediately to take their order. Overall, It was just all very weird and bad vibes all around. I honestly wished I asked for a refund but I just wanted to leave. Lastly, the hype I’ve heard of this place and these pancakes DID NOT meet my expectations and I doubt I’ll ever try soufflé pancakes again. If you don’t like eggs don’t bother trying, people are just coming here for the instagram but the taste is less than mediocre. Not a fan and will never come again.

The softest pancakes I've had in Japan that will definitely make you smile. We went here on a Sunday after a friend recommended the restaurant. We ordered the tiramisu and chocolate pancakes which took around 30 minutes to prepare. Just as expected they delicious and extremely filling. Make sure you go with an empty stomach and I guarantee your pancake dreams will be satisfied! Make sure you come before 1300 or plan to wait in line.
