★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 仙台市登録文化財。大願寺山門は，宝永6年（1709）に造営された仙台藩四代藩主伊達綱村夫人仙姫（万寿院）の墓所の門を，明治時代初期に墓所のあった小田原高松から現在地に移築したものである。門の前後に唐破風のある妻入の一間一戸の向唐門で，屋根はこけら葺である。観音開きの桟唐戸には，夫人の実家稲葉氏の家紋「隅切角に三の字」が入る。細部の造りや文様には禅宗建築の特徴が表われ，江戸時代中期の伊達家霊廟建築を知ることができる数少ない門である。左右袖塀は移築後に造られたものと考えられる。老朽化により，平成10年(1998)に解体復原修理がおこなわれている。
