★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 船橋市と姉妹都市であるオーデンセ市（デンマーク）との友好のシンボルとして1991年に建てられた時計塔。
オーデンセ市は童話作家ハンス・クリスチャン・アンデルセンの出身地。
毎日7:00~22:00に、この時計塔から船橋駅北口ペデストリアンデッキに向けてベルが鳴ります。
時報だけではなく、8:00~17:00のあいだ1時間毎に時計塔のトビラが開き、アンデルセン童話”人魚姫”と”親指姫”が登場、踊り出します。(荒天時は中止)
「ふなばしアンデルセン公園」が「ワンパク王国」というよくワカラナイ公園からデンマークの町並みを再現した公園に整備され人気を博しているのも、船橋市とオーデンセ市が姉妹都市交流しているから…という事実を思い出しつつ。
毎時にベルも鳴るし、待ち合わせスポットには良いかもしれません。
A clock tower built in 1991 as a symbol of friendship with Funabashi and its sister city of Odense (Denmark).
The city of Odense is the birthplace of the storybook writer Hans Christian Andersen.
A bell rings from 7:00 to 22:00 every day from this clock tower towards the pedestrian deck at the north exit of Funabashi Station.
In addition to the time signal, the clock tower Tobira opens every hour from 8:00 to 17:00, and Andersen's fairy tales "Mermaid Princess" and "Thumb Princess" appear and start dancing. (Cancelled during stormy weather)
