金	金澤正範 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 市道を走っていると、左側に小さく遠野ダムの表示と、細い道が現れます。遠野側から走っていく限りでは、市道からは堤体は目立ちません。ひっそりあるダムです。遠野市の南側にあるダムです。比較的街から近くにある、洪水調節が主目的と思われるダムです。現在の貯水量は少ないですが、洪水調節の際はかなりの貯水量を受け止めるようです。堤体の上を通過する遊歩道(散策路)も整備されており、ウォーキングされている方々もいました。ほんのちょっと下流には、規模はさらに小さくなりますが、洪水吐トンネルを有するユニークな遠野第二ダムもあります。 When you drive on the city road, you will see a small Tono Dam sign and a narrow road on the left side.
