比較的新しいダムなので整備されており、東屋もあるのでのんびりできます。
遠野ダムと密接な関係にあるダムで、増水時には市街地を避けて下流？に水を吐露する機能があるハイテクな感じのダムです。
コンクリートでガチガチに固められているダムなので、インダルトリアル感がありますね！
遠野ダムとともに、ダムカードを土木センターで受け取れます！
