池の直ぐ西側に今は暗渠になっている西三荘用水路が水源なのだろう。
 When the Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park opened in 1972, it seems that the amount of water was not as high as it is now.
The water source is probably the Nishisanso Aqueduct, which is now an underdrain just to the west of the pond.
