★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 古代にあった河内湖は淀川や旧大和川からの土砂の流入のため、徐々に縮小し深野池と新開池に分かれる。
その後、新田開発もありふたつの池は消失する。
しかし死んだと思われた深野池は、深北緑地の中にひっそりとその最後のすがたを留めている。
奇跡である。
今はかってあった巨大な深野池をここで想像するしかない。
