★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔このへんに仙台三清水のひとつ「柳清水」があったと伝えられています。
残念ながらその形跡を見つけることはできません。
古地図をみるとここから立町4丁目に「柳清水」と地名として記載されていて「点」として特定する確証がありません。
しかし、古い人から言い伝えではここだったといわれています。
都市開発が進むと昔の場所が特定できなくなり、ほんの数十年前の場所がわからなくなります。
ここもその一つです。
さて、この柳清水は遷座される前の春日大社の脇にあったそうです。
もしかすると、手水として使用されていたのかもしれませんね(想像)。
この清水と場所をおなじくして柳の木があったようです。
その柳の木に伝説があります。
「源義経公が道中の折に柳の木に駒を繋ぎ春日大社に参詣をなされた」と伝わっています。
今はとおく昔の話。
 It is said that there used to be one of Sendai's three Shimizu, "Yanagishimizu".
Unfortunately I can't find any evidence of that.
Looking at the old map, it is listed as "Yanagi Shimizu" in Tatemachi 4-chome from here, and there is no confirmation that it can be identified as a "dot".
However, it is said that it was here according to old people.
As urban development progresses, it becomes impossible to identify the old location, and the location only decades ago becomes unclear.
This is one of them.
By the way, it seems that this Yanagi Shimizu was next to Kasuga Taisha Shrine before it was relocated.
Perhaps it was used as hand water (imagination).
It seems that there was a willow tree in the same place as this Shimizu.
There is a legend in the willow tree.
It is said that Minamoto no Yoshitsune connected a piece to a willow tree and visited Kasuga Taisha Shrine on the way.
It's an old story now.
